The Last Full Measure series recreates battles of the American Civil War at a brigade level. These rules apply to all games in the series. The game emphasises the need to keep your brigades, divisions, and corps in command to have the best chance for your army to win the day.
The Playing Pieces #
Generally, the counters represent infantry and cavalry regiments; artillery batteries; and commanders on the army, corps, division, and brigade levels.
Each infantry and cavalry Strength Point (SP) represents 100 men. Each artillery SP represents 2 guns. Each hex represents approximately 250 yards across.
